Personal Landing Page (v3)

I’ve redone my landing page a few times, and am rarely satisfied with it. While this is version 3, it is more likely version 6 or 7, based on how many revisions and redos I do. Again, I envision this one as another temporary transition for something with a more personal effect down the road, when time allows. For this one, I wanted to strip it back, but also move my blog over from Dev.to, so it was a two-in-one slam.

I’ve learned a good bit along the way of this one, like the intricacies of vh/svh/lvh/dvh units, using Shadcn color references, and integrating MDsveX for readable content, like blog posts and project write-ups.

Laying this website was a lot of “napkin math” designs done at bars and coffee shops (depending on the hour of the day). I’ll definitely be more strict next time, so when I do this again, I will mock it up in Figma or Penpot and go from there. I have many great ideas on landing pages, but need to get the visualizations (and figure out GSAP) to bring forth the images in my mind.

Highlight: Brutalist color palette contains transparent, background, and foreground variants.
